Netflix finally dropped the trailer for the highly anticipated Uglies movie adaptation.

In the world of Uglies, brought to life from Scott Westerfeld's book, we are introduced to a talented cast. Joey King takes on the role of Tally Youngblood, while Chase Stokes portrays Peris. Keith Powers brings David to life, and Brianne Tju embodies Shay. And let's not forget the captivating Laverne Cox as Dr. Cable.

In Westerfeld's imaginative world, Uglies introduces us to King's Tally, who eagerly anticipates the day she can undergo a cosmetic procedure that all city-dwellers go through at 16. This procedure magically transforms their faces and bodies into stunning, model-like perfection. Tally's entire existence is turned upside down when a mischievous companion of hers decides to make a daring escape, thrusting Tally into a world she never knew existed. Caught in a dilemma between Shay and her newly transformed best friend Peris, who eagerly awaits her in the city following his surgery, Tally finds herself at a crossroads. She must make a decision that will force her to question everything she has ever known and embrace a society that challenges her deepest beliefs.

As reported by Deadline, the trailer for 'Uglies' has made its debut, adding to King's impressive list of collaborations with Netflix. Additionally, King has a first-look deal with Hulu, showcasing her works such as The Act and the newer series We Were the Lucky Ones, where she also takes on a starring role.
